Inspiration

Justice is something that everyone has the power to make. It is all in the "whoso ever will!"  We can live out justice by caring for others as we care for ourselves; when we do this, we are living out the beloved community.  We can live out Justice by visiting the sick, feeding the hungry, or helping the poor.

When we were growing up, rest her soul, my mom used to say, and perhaps so did some of your parents, a phrase that went like this;  "charity starts at home and spreads abroad."  The word charity in this phrase can mean any number of things that spreads righteousness, love, and justice.

Justice is about giving to those who are in need physically, spiritually and in any other way that members of our family and community may need help.

We have the power to do Justice. It is all in the power of what we are willing to give of ourselves, to "be the change for the good, that we want to see in the world."
